Title: Golden State Chutney

Yield: 4 Cups

2cChopped Calif. dried figs
1 Apple; peeled & diced
1 Lemon; sliced paper-thin
1/2cBrown sugar
1/2cMolasses
1/2cVinegar
1/2tsGround cloves
1/2tsGround ginger
1/2tsGround cinnamon

In large sauce pan, combine dried figs and apple. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered 30 minutes. Makes about 4 cups. Serve as an accompaniment to pork, lamb, or chicken.
